Had the great pleasure of working on an engagement photography session with this beautiful and very much in love young couple yesterday at the Deering Estate. Ben is a Marine, while Kaylee is going to college, they got engaged during the Christmas Holiday and they are planning a 2015 October Wedding.
I had a great time capturing Villa Vizcaya Quinces Photography of this young lady this past Sunday morning. Our day started with a trip to Gloria Pelo for Hair and Make up, what a treat that was, Gloria is a true pro. Then we embarked towards Vizcaya Museum and Gardens with a perfect south florida weather waiting for us. Bright, blue skies and a wonderful 7o degrees in temperature, perfect! The young lady is a natural at posing, all I had to say was get a bit this way and she would always answer back “got it” and she did. Persian Wedding Photography in Miami
When Sophia approached me to capture the images of her beautiful Persian Wedding the first thing I did was of course google it! Because I had no idea what a Persian Wedding was all about I turned to the work of other photographers and research the ceremony and reception sequence. I also received help from the bride which is actually Lebanese descendant and it was then that she mentioned that there would be a grand entrance into the reception hall by the bride and groom accompanied by dancers, a Zaffa or Zeffa.
So that in a nutshell is what got me ready for the event and the traditions that would be unfolding in front of my camera lens. But what really became apparent and manifested itself during the course of the ceremony and in the reception was that this was a FAMILY. It was a family just like many that I have known, similar to my own in many ways. Not just a few individuals gathered to go through a few traditions but a true family that showed the love they had for each other and the joy that they all felt to be part of such an occasion. I was truly moved with what I was feeling and seeing. And in the course of the evening the feeling of being someone hired to work an event turned in to someone that was just another guest in a celebration of the love that two people have for each other.

Destination Wedding in the Florida Keys Photography: Engagement Session Preview
When Kelly first contacted me over a year ago from China about her Destination Wedding in the Florida Keys at first I was a bit surprised and hesitant. Usually when someone contacts you from another country like Nigeria the first thing that we think of is scam!! But that was not the case, as we continued to email back and forth she told me of her plans to marry the dream of her life which she actually met in China.
A few months after our initial contact we met while she came to the South Florida area to look at the different venues available for her beautiful Destination Wedding in a tropical setting like only the Florida Keys can offer. On a side note on a that meeting I noticed how organized she was with all her tabs placed in her three ring binder, it was perfect with the details. She had done her trial make up session and I took a few test shots outside of Starbucks, which I never showed her because my camera lens has actually fogged up from the difference in humidity and temperature. Not a good start for me!!
During the months leading to her beautiful wedding I kept in touch with her as she made her final decision on the venue. She decided on Coconut Cove Resort in Islamorada (spanish for purple island) even though the hard head locals pronounce it aisle-a-more-AH-dah It is still Isla Morada I’s an inside joke since I know a few of those hard headed locals 😉
The Resort is owned and run by Paul and Magda Bates a beautiful couple with a great family and a great crew that never stopped working all the time that we were there. They provided the accommodations, rehearsal dinner, decorations, ceremony, reception dinner and even the grand finale of the first dance: Fireworks!!
I prepared a small preview of the many images of the two day event that my beautiful wife and I captured. Yes she went along and she was a tremendous help. I think she might becoming part of my crew 😉

When Ali asked me to be the photographer of her wedding at beginning of this year I never dreamed that it would turn out to be such an amazing event. From the venue, the flowers, the dress and all the details every thing was top notch. Here is a small preview from Fridays long but rewarding day, hope you enjoy.
From a recent family mini session in a beautiful pinecrest area park. This little boy was all smiles because behind the photographer there was a professional child wrangler 😉 Actually it was his aunt making all the funny faces and the gestures that got him to smile. We had a wonderful time going around the park and capturing his beautiful smile. The boots are an extra bonus picture for the family…
Right now we are coming into the perfect weather here in South Florida for family photography in the late afternoons. The temperature will began to drop as we come closer to the end of summer. The sun will be setting sonner giving us a beautiful light to capture these images that will become family treasures in the years to come after the kids are all grown up and have left the nest. A Beautiful Mississippi Wedding. More details to follow, for now I hope you enjoy the images. We had wonderful time in this beautiful traditional southern wedding at Heritage Family Church in Brookhaven Mississippi. The stressful job of a wedding photographer only becomes worse when it happens to be your own son’s wedding. Usually most weddings feature lots of getting ready images of the bride but hey he is my son so guess who was the star on this one 😉
Starting in May, 2014 I changed the pricing and available options for my Quinces Photography Collections. I will be offering all inclusive collections that will allow a one stop get all that you need to obtain a beautiful Quinceanera Photo Shoot!
You will receive the following with any of the Photo Packages that I offer:
1. In person photography consultation to discuss the details of the shoot. The consultation can be done at your home for your convenience.
A. We will discuss possible locations for your beautiful portraits. Locations suchs world famous Vizcaya Gardens in Miami, The Cruz building in Coconut Grove, Gold Coast Railroad Museum, Little River Studios, Pinecrest Gardens, Homestead Bayfront Park, Wynwood and Matheson Hammock are just a few of the choices available in the all inclusive photography pricing.
B. Also on the list of our consultation will be your style of dress, your interests and what you feel sets you apart that you will want to show in your Quinces Portraits. Any props that you will like to include we can accommodate from a simple guitar to an elephant if that is what you like. [maybe an elephant might be a bit difficult to get but I will try to get it for you 😉 ].
C. We will also talk about what kind of albums, enlargements and other things like phone cases that you will like to help you show off your beautiful images. Yes I’m including an Iphone case with the image of your choosing in most of my Quinces photography packages.
D. Our consultation will finish with setting a date and time to best capture your special moment. Certain places work best at an earlier time than others and we will talk about such things.
2. Also included in all the Quinces Photography Collections are the beautiful Quinces Formal Dress: I have dress shops throughout the South Florida area which will provide the dress or dresses depending on what collection you choose, for your formal portraits. You just go choose your dress, get it fitted and I take care of the rest.
3. Makeup will be also included in all of the Quinces Photography Packages. I have an excellent Make up artist that will actually go to your home and get you all dolled up before your portrait shoot!! Hair and makeup all included, just sit back and enjoy her work while you relax in the comfort of your own home.
4. As I mentioned earlier you will have numerous places to choose from for you portraits, all included just bring plenty of energy and a big smile. Get lots of rest before your shoot you will needed since I love to shoot especially if you love to shine for the camera.
5. After your portraits are done I will provide you with a private internet gallery for you to look at your beautiful images and also share them with family and friends. You will also use the gallery to make your selections that I will use to prepare your gorgeous custom artistic album.
6. A few days after your final approval of your album images we will once again meet so I can present to you the finish album, enlargement and any other of the many things that can be used to display your images. [don’t forget the phone case]
